Grade 1 - Week 4 (Day 16-20)

Day 16-

Math- Log into Kahn Academy and do 10 minutes with an adult.

Reading - Read 2 pages in your Reading Book

Science- Read Pg 28-30 in your Science Textbook PDF

Music-

1. While some of those drums were modern, I figured a drum was probably the earliest instrument. But I thought of another. The whistle. Can you whistle? Try to learn if you can’t.

2. Listen to a whistling song. Click on the play triangle (and nothing else). This song is from the old Disney movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It’s actually a humming song too. Even if you can’t whistle, you can hum. The voice is another instrument the Lord made along with all the songs of nature.

Reminders:

Subject is what the sentence is about. The simple subject is the noun; it’s cup instead of the blue cup.
Predicate is the rest of the sentence, what the subject does. The simple predicate is the verb; it’s ran instead of ran all the way home.
Imperative sentences give a command. Declarative sentences make a statement. Interrogative sentences ask a question. Exclamatory sentences exclaim.
