1. A noun is a person, place, or thing. Here are some nouns: girl, ball, America, the park, Quentin.

2. Play this game. There is one fish that has a noun written above it. See if you can find the nouns. If you aren’t sure, ask this question, “Can you touch it?” You can touch a ball, a person, or a thing. But you can’t touch jump because jump is not a noun.

2. In your science notebook write the answers to the vocabulary questions 1-8 on pg 246. See how many you already know and then, if you can’t remember what a word means, you can look it up on the page number next to the word. Put a star next to any that you didn’t have to look up.
