Writing –

1. We are going to start writing a research paper on someone or something from Greek Mythology. Watch this video about Informational Writing.

2. When you write a research paper, the first thing you have to do is find sources to gather information from. Read about the types of resources on Worksheet 1 and answer the questions. What resources do you think would be best for you to use to research Greek Mythology?

Music –

1. Copy the Rhythms.

2. You will listen to a rhythm of four beats. A single line is one note. A double line is two notes in one beat. Those are the faster ones.

2. Answer questions 6-10 from the Question Paper.

Writing –

1. Spend a little time reading through the myths on this page. Decide who or what you would like to research for your paper. This is your topic.

2. On the bottom of the worksheet from yesterday write your topic. Next, write three things you would like to find out about your topic. For example, if I was writing a paper about frogs my questions might be what do they eat, where do they live, and how many different kinds there are.

Computer – Log into Typing Club, click on Typing Jungle. And do the seventh lesson. (Username: therony Password: 8888)

Grammar – Choose five items in the room with you. Describe each one with five adjectives. Bonus points if you can use a German adjective!!

2. Answer questions 11-15 from the Question Paper.

Writing – Find a source today online or in a book that has some information. Fill in one section of this worksheet. You will just write a short note on each info line. For example, if I found a website that said, “Tree frogs are interesting little amphibians that eat insects and live in the rainforest,” on the info lines I might write amphibian, eat insects, live in rainforest. (NO COMPLAINING = NINTENDO REWARD)

2. How much time has elapsed? Choose Quarter. Use the arrows to say how much time has passed from the time on the clock on the left to the time on the clock on the right.

Reading –

1. Read chapter 4 of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Before you start reading, look at questions 16-20 on the sheet so you can be looking for the answers while you read.

2. Answer questions 16-20 from the Question Paper.

Writing – Using your same source from yesterday, fill out four notecards with a detailed note. From my tree frog example, on my note card for the info point “live in rainforest” I would write the more detailed note “Tree frogs are found on every continent except Antartica,” and, “the biggest variety of tree frogs live in the tropics of the Western Hemisphere”

Vocabulary – Complete lesson PJLT 1-4 HERE

Science – Read the Visual Summary on pg 209 and answer questions 1-2 and 4-6 in your Science notebook. (NO COMPLAINING = NINTENDO REWARD)

Thinking – Pick a thinking game from Levels 4-6.

Grammar – Do the describe with adjectives worksheet. Did you know that numbers are adjectives when they describe something? Like one ball.

German –
