Grade 3 - Week 5 (Day 21-25)

Day 21-

Math-
1. Log into Kahn Academy and do 20 minutes with an adult.
2. Play Level 1 Beginner and then play again on Expert. Expert means using as few coins as possible. Start with the largest coin. Can you use it without having too much? Once you have as many as you can use, go to the next largest coin.

Reading- Read Chapter 21 of Goblet of Fire

Writing- Answer 4 questions from the Goblet of Fire Chp 21-25 questions. Tell an adult the answer to two more questions and have them write it on your sheet.

Vocabulary- HPGF5-1

Science-
1. Read Pg 68 in your Science textbook and write the answer to the quick check in your science notebook.
2. Read the Visual Summary on Pg 69. Answer questions 1, 2, 5, and 6 in your Science notebook. Discuss questions 3 and 4 with an adult.

Music- 
1. Learn how a whistle works.
2. Whistles are an old type of instrument. Here is an ancient one made from bird bone.
3. You can see a colonial times version of it on this game. Try and play the notes on this penny whistle.

German-
1. Watch the painting video.
2. Here are the lyrics to a new colors song.
3. Sing along with the new song.
4. Do you remember your colors?

History- Listen to Chapter 12 (pg 88-92) of Story of the World


Day 22-

Math- Log into Kahn Academy and do 20 minutes with an adult.

Reading- Read Chapter 22 of Goblet of Fire

Writing- Answer 4 questions from the Goblet of Fire Chp 21-25 questions. Tell an adult the answer to two more questions and have them write it on your sheet.

Computer- Level 2 Stage 5 Dance Mat Typing

Science- Read the Visual Summary on Pg 72 in your Science textbook. Answer vocabulary questions 1-8 in your science notebook.

Science- Read Pg 78-79  in your Science textbook and write the answer to the quick check in your science notebook

Thinking- Learn how a queen moves. Take the quiz when you are done with the lesson.
