Grade 5 - Week 5 (Day 21-25)

Day 21-

Math- Log into Kahn Academy and do 20 minutes of Grade 5.

Reading - Read for fun when you are done with your school day

Writing- Complete the Sorcerer's Stone Multiple Choice Test.

Vocabulary- Take the final Vocabulary Test

Science- Read Pg 68 in your Science textbook and write the answer to the quick check in your science notebook. Read the Visual Summary on Pg 69. Answer questions 1, 2, 5, and 6 in your Science notebook. Discuss questions 3 and 4 with an adult.

Music- 
1. Learn how a whistle works.
2. Whistles are an old type of instrument. Here is an ancient one made from bird bone.
3. You can see a colonial times version of it on this game. Try and play the notes on this penny whistle.

1. Watch the painting video.
2. Here are the lyrics to a new colors song.
3. Sing along with the new song.
4. Do you remember your colors?

History- Listen to Chapter 12 (pg 88-92) of Story of the World


Day 22-

Math- Log into Kahn Academy and do 20 minutes of Grade 5.

Reading - Read for fun when you are done with your school day

Writing- Write a letter to a friend

Science- Read the Visual Summary on Pg 72 in your Science textbook. Answer vocabulary questions 1-8 in your science notebook.

Science- Turn to Pg 73  in your Science textbook. Answer questions 9, 11, 12, and 13 and Test Prep question 1 in your science notebook.

Art- Read about Egyptian Sculptures.
